Create your first node

The video walkthrough has not been added yet. You can read the written guide below.

Before you begin

Choose one product, service or area of expertise. Keep the first node focused so its description, value proposition and differentiator all refer to the same offer. Have the relevant public website page available.

1. Name the offer

Use a name your team will recognise later. If your business has several products or services, begin with one rather than combining everything into a single description.

2. Write a short description

Explain what the offer does in two or three clear lines. Identify the work it supports and the context in which someone would use it. Prefer a concrete explanation over a list of broad adjectives.

3. Add the value proposition

In another two or three lines, describe why the offer matters to its intended buyer. Explain the problem it helps address and the useful change you want the buyer to understand. Include only claims your business can support.

4. Explain the differentiator

Describe what makes your approach distinct for this offer. A specific method, operating model or relevant capability is more useful than simply saying that it is innovative.

5. Use the relevant URL

Provide the product or service page that explains this offer. A specific page is usually more informative than a general homepage covering unrelated services.

Check your node

  • All fields describe the same offer.
